For many years we have been embraced by the space and the staff at Charis. Encircled by the safety. By the freedom to read, to browse, to be. By conversations that comfort and challenge. By voices that could speak in their own names, in their own words and rhythms.
Charis Circle is more. It is community. It is commitment to women’s space and women-affirming people. It is the reality, not just the rhetoric, of diversity. It is a presence at many events in the Southeast, reminding us of the safely and freedom that do exist, even now.Charis Circle is there for us with programs and people, writings and events that preserve our history, anchor our present, and promise our future. Now we have a chance to enfold this good work in a circle of support so that it can continue to embrace, support and enrich our lives.
