| C.J. Harden: |
I am an applications programming consultant for Bank of America where I have worked since 1989. I currently serve on the Diversity Council and the Environmental Committee there.
When I first realized that I could read, it was a powerful, unforgettable moment. To this day, reading is my favorite pastime.
In my daily life I strive to be the best feminist, human rights advocate, animal rights advocate and environmentalist that I can be. These are the things that ring my heart chimes. I am awed by all that Charis has contributed to the community over the years, and I am proud to serve on the board.

| Mickey Gillmor: |

I’ve lived in Atlanta since 1972 and work at Grady Hospital as a nurse-midwife and for the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing as an educator. We came to Atlanta originally for two years, so Henry could fulfill his military service at CDC instead of in the army in Vietnam. We’ve been here ever since, raised our two sons here, and I find myself believing that we will be here forever. Charis is part of what has made it possible for me to stay in – the connection to feminism, to books, and to friends. Charis Circle’s commitment to supporting the bookstore and an inclusive feminist space in Atlanta keeps me working on the Board – in addition to the great women I’ve met! |

| Moya Bailey: |
First year Fellow in Women’s Studies at Emory University. Her research is focused on health care disparities in marginalized groups. She received her undergraduate degree from Spelman College where she majored in Women’s Studies with a concentration in Health. Her strong interest in the intersection of health and women’s studies was influenced by summer programs in the Minority Medical Enrichment Program at Yale University, forensic research in the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in New York, and the Barbara Jordan Health Policy Scholars Program at Howard University. While at Spelman she was a resident assistant and was active in many campus organizations including AUC Peace, Sisterfire, Afrekete, and served as President of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance (FMLA). Her organizational and planning activities with the FMLA and the SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Rights Conference lead her to a life of activism centered on health issues and social constructs affecting women of color. Bailey also serves on the national board of the Davis- Putter Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for activist students. Her dream is to open a free clinic for women that provides a holistic approach to health and social services.

I am an Ameriprise Financial Advisor working with the firm of Maggie Kulyk and Associates in Decatur. We specialize in domestic partners and many of our clients are part of the Charis community. My focus is on women, aging and the importance of financial literacy in one’s life. I have lived in Atlanta for 2 years (since 2004), having moved here after living in Costa Rica for 3 years. After 32 years in academic life, in 2001 I retired from UGA as the head of the Institute for Women’s Studies. I established the program there and was head for 14 years. I have 2 daughters who attend the Atlanta International School and the Paideia School as 10th and 11th graders. I am so pleased and honored to be working with Charis to continue my contribution to the feminist community, this time in Atlanta. |
