This facilitated group is open to all writers of fiction and creative non-fiction who want a serious group to provide constructive criticism, motivational exercises, and interpersonal accountability to keep their writing on track. We will do monthly exercises and critiques with an eye towards individual improvement and the eventual goal of publication. Writers are encouraged to bring copies of their work to share for critique. A Decatur Grill, hosts charitable dinners where they select a different non-profit to receive a portion of that evening's dinner sales. Monday, August 27th, Charis Circle will be taking part in this wonderful program. So, tell your friends, tell your family and bring a date! Fashion Fever Clothing Swap: A Charis Circle Fund Raiser
Sunday, August 26, 2:00-6:00pm
Just in time for your pre-autumn wardrobe make-over, Charis Circle is holding a clothing swap at the Little 5 Points Community Center (1083 Austin Ave). For a donation of clothing (clean and in good condition) and an entrance fee of $10, you can swap til you drop and take home all the clothes you can bag! We'll have clothing reconstruction lessons, free activities for children, local artisan vendors, and vegetarian food items for sale. All proceeds will benefit the work of Charis Circle. If you have questions or would like to volunteer at the event, please email kerrie@chariscircle.org. If you can't make it to the event, but would like to donate some clothing to the cause, please do so! We are currently accepting clothing donations at our office (in the back of Charis Books & More). Spread the word... the more clothes there are, the more swap options you have!
