Natural Transitioning: An FTM Alternative with Tristan and Sicily Skye       Thursday, October 6, 7:30-9pm

Join us for an informational session with Tristan and Sicily Skye co-authors of Natural Transitioning: An FTM Alternative and creators of the TQ Nation web community. They will be happy to answer questions and sign copies of their new book. About Natural Transitioning: "Natural Transitioning™ was founded by Tristan and Sicily Skye and it's what we label the process of transitioning from female to male (FtM) by raising the testosterone levels your body naturally produces, without injecting testosterone or other methods. NT was an idea one day behind the mastermind of Sicily Skye who has been in the world of bodybuilding for almost a decade. Through bodybuilding, Sicily learned the science of manipulating your body to produce the results you want if you have enough dedication, will-power and knowledge. It's crucial to know your body and what works for you and against you. Tristan agreed to follow Sicily's regimen and he then researched the natural supplements of the bodybuilding world that would help boost the levels of testosterone naturally. Over a trial and error process, together they formulated a plan that works and has had proven results for a growing number of transmen. This is a an alternative option for transmen who (1) are waiting to start T (2) do not want to take T for any reason *or can't* (3) have been on T and want to try a different option."

The book is $19.99. Please call (404)524-0304 to order or send an email to orders@charisbooksandmore.com to purchase. This event is part of Charis Circle's Urban Sustainability and Wellness Programming and has a suggested donation of $5 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Exploring Sacred Space with Ben Johnson, Gillian Renault and Mitch Cohen          Tuesday, October 11, 7:30-9pm
Join us in welcoming the editor and two contributors of Sacred Space. About the book: Sacred Space offers an introduction to the five major religions of the world: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Vedantaism, and Buddhism. Beginning with a description of the places of worship, the authors explore what takes place in this space, what it means and what happens in the lives of the people beyond the Sacred Space. This book offers a model for religious groups and communities to explore the sacred space of the other. It aims to promote dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation in solving the major problems of the world. The authors explain in simple language the faith and the practice of the various religions. This book is unique in that the authors also serve as guides in visiting the Sacred Spaces of the other faiths. This event is sponsored by Charis Books and More.
