| Kerrie Lynn, Co-Director |
An Atlanta native and activist who has been involved locally for many years in feminist, queer, anti-racist, and other kinds of grassroots organizing. As Director of Programs for Charis Circle, she finds solace in bringing the magic of books, activism, community-building, and self-expression together under one roof. Kerrie is also co-editor with Elizabeth of The Charis Review, and is fascinated by the creative and collaborative potential of that project. She is a member of the SPARK Reproductive Justice Now! board of directors because she passionately believes in justice for all people, and feels that the reproductive justice movement is at the core of making that a reality. Kerrie is an avid reader who enjoys cooking & eating vegan Southern food, hanging out with her Grandmother, riding her bicycle, having feminist ranting sessions with her friends, and camping out at the beach. If you have questions or suggestions about Charis Circle programming and events, just email Kerrie@chariscircle.org. |

| Sheena Sood, Fundraising Coordinator |
Both a native of the Southeast and a first Generation Indian American. During her undergraduate years as a student at Oxford College of Emory and Emory University, Sheena took on an obsession for Sociology and the role that social and political institutions play in the lives of individuals—namely Indian women. Though her involvement in feminist activism initially stemmed from her older brother Sundeep, Sheena has broadened her involvement in the movement through volunteering for an Atlanta-based South Asian domestic violence advocacy organization Raksha, organizing for global and community-based public health initiatives, and working with the reproductive and environmental justice movement here in Atlanta. Though Sheena adores academics and plans to pursue a dual Masters in Public Health and Social Work, she also enjoys having a life in which she appreciates cooking and eating vegetarian meals, attempting to imitate her Mom's delicious Punjabi recipes, riding her bicycle in a skirt in the spring, summer, and fall, listening to music while reading away, dancing to Bhangra, and spending time with her big, fat Indian family! |
